Link Campus is launching its first MBA in Blockchain and Economics of Cryptocurrencies
Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies: nowadays these terminologies are more and more common terms. Thanks to the succession of news on new scenarios that digital coins and - above all - the so-called “Blockchain”, are projected in the near future, where ICO (Initial Coin Offering), Smart Contract and start-ups linked to Fintech will dominate the labour market. However, there is a lack of experts in this technology, destined to have a profound impact on various aspects of our daily life, especially the financial one, but without excluding medical and productive ones. In order to fill this gap, Consulcesi Tech, a hi-tech company specialised in cutting-edge solutions linked to Blockchain, in collaboration with the Link Campus University of Rome, will inaugurate a Masters in "Blockchain and Economics of Cryptocurrencies " starting next February. This is the first post-graduate course on this subject in the European Union that provides for the payment using also the new supports of digital coins, now widespread as a tool for financial regulation.
As stated by Andrea Tortorella, CEO of Consulcesi Tech: "On one hand, the debate on the potentials of digital coins and Blockchain is now a daily matter; on the other hand, there is a growing demand for experts in this field, so it is essential the partecipation of Link Campus University with its own knowledge related to these technologies, which places It among other large institutions such as Stanford and Mit. We, who have always believed in the Blockchain, want to focus on the young people who will undertake this formative journey, and we will do it by hiring those who will turn out to be the best students”.
President of the Scientific Committee that presides over the organisation of the Master is Professor Antonio Maria Rinaldi, who said: "The DLT has allowed a decentralisation that will have important repercussions in the sector of economy and finance, posing conceptual, technical and legal problems, never seen before. With this Master we try to train the ruling professionals of tomorrow for a real cultural revolution that cannot be abstracted from the technical aspects, but we will try to deal with them so that they are understandable even to those, who do not have a strictly computer or mathematical training."
Based on an interdisciplinary approach, the lessons will start from a general macroeconomic perspective and then will deepen the development potentials of the blockchain in various sectors. In particular, the second part of the course will focus on the technical aspects of the Blockchain and on the planning of smart contracts. Access to the Master is reserved for all graduates who have who have at least a bachelor’s degree. It will be preferential to have the master's degree. In the event of questions exceeding the number of positions available, selection will be based on qualifications and curricula. Those interested can start with an online course for 100 hours, including integrations and specializations, starting from February 2019, or it will be possible to attend the Master “in person”, for 400 hours, scheduled for the second half of 2019.
