European Maker Week

On May 17, LCU research centre DASIC hosted the “Next challenges for humans and things” event as part of the European Maker Week

Link Campus University with its research centre DASIC (Digital Administration and Social Innovation Center) held a conference on “Next challenges for humans and things” which took place on May 17, 2018 at the Casale di Sa Pio V in the “World coffee” formula.

With the help of the researchers of Link Campus, there has been discussed several challenging topics concerning the rapid change in the relation with the technology, including:

– AI and virtual assistant with intervention of Dr Federica Tazzi and Dr Katarzyna Leszczynska;

– IoT and Cybersecurity – Dr Massimiliano Dibitonto;

– Sustainability and Smart City – Dr Antonio Opromolla and Dr Valentina Volpi.

European Maker Week is part of the European Commission’s initiative to create awareness of the maker culture fostering creativity in innovation across Europe. It is implemented by Maker Faire Rome in collaboration with Startup Europe.
